In this video from totalprosports Don Cherry, a flamboyant in the closet hockey analyst in Canada, describes his distain for Alex Ovechkin.
Don Cherry, who is most noted for wearing stupid ass over the top outfits usually with a prom corsage attached to his retro 70's paisely suit, called out Alex Ovechkin for being too "over the top". He thinks that his celebrations are to showoffy and he will one day get clobbered for his actions. He believes that people should stop watching Ovechkin and start watching people like Joe Thornton or maybe Jay Bowmeester.
Please compare interviews of both Bowmeester and Ovechkin and you will soon realize what the NHL would look like if audiences were to listen to the advice of Don Cherry.
