Selanne's milestone point lifts Ducks past Predators in OT
You can't stop DChino from writing about the Finnish Lord of the Ice
Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Teemu Selanne's 1,200th career point turned out to be a good one, as he scored the game-winning goal 34 seconds into overtime to lift the Anaheim Ducks to a 4-3 win over the Nashville Predators.
Selanne, with 574 career goals and 626 career assists, became the 45th player in NHL history to reach the milestone. Bobby Ryan had a goal and an assist, and Corey Perry and Andrew Ebbett each scored in Anaheim's second win in three games.
"I try not to think about the individual stuff," said Selanne. "When they scored the tying goal I said it would be pretty nice to get the game-winner and get 1,200 points at the same time. For sure I wanted to do it at home."
